About Me
- Mrs. Halterman
- Hi, I'm Mrs.Halterman and here's a little something about myself. I love teaching and have been a seventh grade reading and English teacher at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School for 20 years. I am married and have three children, five very precious grandchildren, and an extremely spoiled kitty named Boo. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing the piano, walking outdoors, and spending time with my family. My newest hobby is Zumba! By the way, growing up I always wanted to be a detective and Nancy Drew was my idol, so now I host the Private Eyes club here at school during Hawks Hangout!

I think its a great book! Its really sad that the girl has cancer!
So far I think this is a good book. I like how this story is going it is really interesting.I want to know how Hope acts the next day at here job knowing that her mom has cancer.I also wonder if here mom dies and if so does she find her real mom.
Hi i think this book is great. The little girl is a big time writer and if you think about it that might have something to do with her mother and it might give you an idea about her real mother. I think it is a little sad because her mother has cancer and that's not a good thing to have. It is a good thing that her real mother gave her to someone else so she will not get hurt by the one the mother is living with.
I like Christmas Jars so far. I think that it will be an exciting book. My prediction in the story is the mother will die and the daughter will be famous.
So far in the book “Christmas Jars” I think it is a pretty good book. This one girl found a note saying, “The person that fines this baby I want you to have this baby to have her because I don’t want to have a dad that will not bet her”. “I still love her but I want to have a better life so maybe some day I can see her”. I think that it’s kind of a sad book but I would tell people to read this book.
I think it is a great book but it’s sad because Hope’s dad was that way. And she believed that she would have a great story on the first page of the newspaper. But it was sad because her mother had cancer.
So far I really like the book Christmas Jars. It is kind of sad in the beginning but i’m glad that Hope ends up having a good mother that doesn’t have to run from her husband that beats her. I’m glad that Hope is in to art because it is a very tallented thing to be able to do. One of the other things that is sad about the book is that Louise has cancer and that is not a good thing at all!!!!!
I like the story Christmas Jars it is a VERY good book. It was sad when the mom said she had cancer. Hope fells said that she hasn’t meet her real mom before and she wants to meet her real mom.
I love the story so far but it is kind of sad because the mystery woman has to give away a baby because he child has a bad father. I want the girl to see her real mother some year. It is pretty bad that her little girl’s mother (step mother) has cancer. I want to know more instead of stopping at the part where her stepmother has cancer. I hope we get to read more next time.
I love it so far I think it will be a good book. I hope we get it done before Christmas.
Actually, Felicia, it's the mother Louise who has cancer, but you're right, it's sad.

The book is pretty good. Its sad that Louise just found out she has cancer. But it’s exiting that Hope has a good job.
