- Hi, I'm Mrs.Halterman and here's a little something about myself. I love teaching and have been a seventh grade reading and English teacher at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School for 20 years. I am married and have three children, five very precious grandchildren, and an extremely spoiled kitty named Boo. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing the piano, walking outdoors, and spending time with my family. My newest hobby is Zumba! By the way, growing up I always wanted to be a detective and Nancy Drew was my idol, so now I host the Private Eyes club here at school during Hawks Hangout!

Hi Mrs.halterman i'm reading Judy Moody The Doctor's In. She is having fun with being a doctor for her sick brother but then she get sick and she finds out that it is not fun being sick like she thought it was going to be. She hates her brother but she still loves him. When she got sick she got mumps and her brother wanted to be her doctor but she didn't want him to get it and she didn't want him to be playing with her doctor kit.
Well right now imin the middle of reading kiddnapped it is an awsome book! I think it is sad because Meg got kidnapped at she set up a plot by cloging the toilets and in one of her dads books thats wat happens in his book and Meg new her brother would reconize it. And wen her brother tells her parents they dont believe him. :(
The book that I am reading is The Dangerous Transmission. The book is about Frank and Joe are on vacation in London. They are there also for a reunion.
Well my books Title is THE TIME WARP TRIO TO 2095 the author of my book is Jon Scieszka. Some fun things in my book are when the three boys time travle to the future and almost git cot by the police robot. What confusis me is why did the book want them and not someone else. The exciting thing in my book is they time travel to NEW YORK CITY and every thing look new and better to them.
The name of my book is The Kid Who Only Hit Homers. It is not funny because it is a little weird .The man helped the boy make the team and then the man disappears.
I just got finished reading “Nascar’s Wildest Wrecks.” It was pretty exciting and talked about some of the safety gear they wear because of some of the people that got killed during races and practice. But now I’m reading a book about the “The New York Yankees.” Is’ a pretty good book and talked about some of the best players and records.
In my story “The Hardy Boys the Caribbean Cruise Caper” by Franklyn W. Dixon they got off the plane and they had their luggage they were going to put it in the taxi and they saw that their lap top bag was missing. So one of the boys ran back to the plane to see if it was one the plane. The security found it and went around seeing if belonged to anyone else and it was theirs. So then they get everything in the taxi. That is as far as I got in the story.
In my book Second Stringer, there’s a boy named Rob. In practice he broke his leg and Kevin took his place at quarterback. Their first game was against Lynchburg. They won the game and are heading to the championships.
In my book Alice Alone, a girl named Alice was having a sleepover when all these girls and guys came over. They watched movies and ate stuff that Alice’s dad had made. In the beginning her dad was dating her English teacher. Now where I am they are going to get married. And at the sleepover she got mad because they pulled a prank on her and her boyfriend was in it so she got mad at that.
My book is about three girls and four boys. Both the oldest girl and the twin boys which are the oldest have to do a summer newspaper and the the rest of the sibblings have decided to help. They don’t get along probably as much as they should, but they’re working together as much as they need to, for them to be able to get it done!!!!!!!!

I’m reading Never Underestimate Your Dumbness by Jim Benton. It’s about a girl named Jamie and her aunt was getting married to Angeline’s uncle. Angeline is always mean to her, and Angeline’s uncle is the Assistant Principal. He also let her be a nurse for the day.
I’m reading ADAM CANFIELD OF THE SLASH written by Michael Winerip. It’s a funny book about a boy that works for the newspaper for the school and he’s always late to class because he has such a busy days. He’s working on a mystery about a lady that gave the school a lot of money, and he thinks that the principal stole it for her bathroom.
My book is called The Watsons Go to Birmingham By Christopher Curtis. It is funny because one of their sons is doing everything that his parents told him not to do. Like playing with matches and putting dye in his hair.

I am reading Hiding Mr. Mc Multy by Berniece Rabe. It is about Rass a young farmer and his family. So far what I have read is that C.N. the older brother has been able to take care of 5 acres of land. But he takes off in the pickup truck to someone’s place. Rass tries taking a sort cut through the ditch bank broke and his dad was stuck in it. So he didn’t leasen to his dad and saved him and all their land was destroyed and were their grandpa died in the shack got move and put in a new spot in perfected condition. So that’s what I have read so far in my book.
I am reading the book the Kid Who Only Hits Homers. The kid wants to play baseball. He was no good at it but one day a man shows up while he was sitting on the stands and not playing baseball. The man helped him learn to play baseball. That is as far as I got. CODY
My book was Owen & Mazy. It was about a hippo and tortoise Mazy is 130 years old and Owen is a 10 week hippo. They became best friends and would not move from each other.
Hello, Mrs.Halterman. I have a new book called "George's Marvelous Medicine". I think that it's about a boy, George who makes medicine for a friend because they're sick and he wants to help them get better.
The book I am reading is called Skylark. It is mainly about Anna and her brother Caleb's and their dad. Their dad is going to get married to a girl named Sara during the summer.But they do not know each other yet they were only sending letters to one another and he is expecting her to come and stay on the farm with them. Sara moved in with them after they got married. And when they came back from church one day they measured the water in the well and it was low.They didn't have enough water for them to drink and for the animals to drink.The next morning there cow had a baby that everyone was excited about and could not wait to see.
I have been reading the Hardy boys. I like the part were matt falls out of the tree. They are all out of food and they’re going to keep going up the mountain and that’s all I have read so far
The book I am reading is HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE and it is about a boy named Harry and he finds out he is a wizard. He needs to go to a magic school.
I was reading Virginia’s Readers choice books. The book was Henry’s Freedom Box. I only need one more book to have all four done. The book was easy to read.
The book I’m reading is called “Captain Underpants and the Big, Battle of the Bionic Booger Boy.” I like it because it is funny. George and Harold always do funny stuff, but when they do something funny they always get in trouble. They didn’t get in trouble one time when they both had to do a project. They did it on how to do squishies. Everybody wanted to do squishies even the teacher but the smartest kid went to tell the principal and everybody got in trouble.
I’m reading the book The Alchemist by Nicholas Flamel. This is a confusing book so far, because it has people in San Francisco wearing long coats during summer. It has old time cars there. Also a girl who going through a Goth phase and she is vary social.
I have been reading where the RED FERNGROWS. And so far it is my
favorite book.Cause it leaves so many good pictures in my head.
The book I’m right now reading is called Can You Get An F In Lunch. It’s about a girl named Jenny that is having a hard time in middle school because it’s her first year and her best friend Addie is hanging with the pops and Jenny isn’t one of them so she can’t see her best friend anymore. Jenny only has one friend her name is Chloe and she is super nice at lunch. Jenny didn’t have to eat in a phone booth next to the janitors closet outside a teachers classroom or even in the girls bathroom. No she has Chloe to hangout with. Once Chloe invited Jenny to go sit with her and her friends Marc, Liza, and two twins now she has her own friends.
The book I am reading is Bone Out From Boneville.It is about these people who go on a mission and find out who is kidnapped stoney and his brother is on the mission to get him.So the girl left the palace to find the person. When the person try's to find him a bad person finds the girl and takes her to. So thats what I have been reading.
Im Reading Punished is a book about a boy he was running in the libary and a man yealed no running and then said you will be punished and then eveythang gose down hill!!!!!
well i was reading the book punished and it wasn't that good. its when this boy gets punished by this man in a library and has to do all of this weird stuff just to get un punished

I’ve been reading The Princess Diaries Volume III. It’s very good.
I have just finished the greatest book ever it is called The Man Who Loved Clowns. It is about a thirty-five year old man with downs syndrome. He lives with the closest family hat he has left. His name is Punky. A young girl name Delitra has moved to a new town called Tangle Nook. On Delitra’s first d of school she meets a girl named Anavelle they both have to share a textbook. Well Delitra and her family take a family trip to Silver Dollar City, Punky and DJ (Delitra) are left to walk around in a certain area. They meet a famous wood carver and when Punky and DJ wait for DJ’s parents and they hear the news that they got in a horrible car accident. They now have to live with their Aunt and Uncle.
So far the book I’m reading is Maude March On The RUN! By Audrey Couloumbis and it’s about this girl and her name is Maude March and they think she is a cold blooded killer and a horse thief and part of a bank robbery but really she is guilty but her sister don’t think so their just trying to run away from the cops and her sister is not guilty just quite yet.
I've been reading Cracked Back it talks about two people who play football and they are having a bad time and this year is harder because they are in a higher football program that means more stuff you learn and harder plays.
The book I’m reading is Fever1793. The author is Laurie Halse Anderson. Fever1793 is about the Cook family.Mattie soons finds out that her mom has yellow fever . I think that fever1793 is a very interesting because you never know who’s going to die next.
