The reading of chapters 14 and 15 of Christmas Jars has been very emotional for us as readers, but not nearly as heartbreaking as it was for Hope. The deaths of her mother and now Adam Maxwell, as the author Jason Wright puts it, have left "two gaping holes in her soul." Even with giving her first Christmas jar away to the homeless man in the park and gaining the feeling of "blessing someone other than herself," Hope still has the unresolved issue of seeing the Maxwell family and explaining all of her lies.
How do you envision the meeting going, or do you think she will back out once again? What do you predict for Hope as we draw nearer to the conclusion of Christmas Jars?

I think first of all she should not have lied at all. So I do not feel sorry for her. I think she should go talk to them and go to the funeral.
I think there is hope for Hope because I think they're an understanding family and plus thay are going though hard time and thay really might want to see her.
I think that she will go and talk and become friends.
I think that she will go and tell them how she felt when her mom had died, and I think that she will tell them about her Christmas jars to.
Also I think that she needs to tell them the truth about what she said to everyone. So then when she tells everyone the truth they will forgive her for what she said. But I still think the book is going good.
I think that Hope will back out because she just can't take it because she backstabbed them. Her story is on the front page and that was their famliy "miracle".
Hope will go see the Maxwell family and will tell the truth about herself.
I think that she will go and they will accept her back but it will take time to have all the trust that they had before.
I think that hope is going to make a christmas jar and take it to the Maxwell's house.

I think that Hope will meet the Maxwells and she will give them the Christmas jar. Then I think Hope will do a Christmas jar every year for someone that needs it.
I think she will back out again because she can’t call them or even go to their house because she is so scared it has been at least two months and she still hasn’t gone over yet.
I think that Hope will not back out I think that Hope will go and explan why she lied and the Maxwell’s will understand why she lied.
Hope will go and see the Maxwells and she will apologize and Laren will let her come and they will become freinds again.
I envision the meeting being sad for the family and that Hope will feel very sorry she did that. I think she will show up at their house and tell them the truth. I also think she will also show up for the funeral.
I think that Hope will end up going to the Maxells for a visit and apologizing about the article of Christmas Jars and about the death of Adam Maxwell and hopefully the Maxwells will accept the apology and they will all end up forgiving and forgetting!!!

Hope is sad that Adam died and wants to tell Lauren that she’s sorry. Hope will tell the Maxwell’s the truth about her and then go to the funeral. The Maxwell’s will be very mad at Hope they will not forgive her.
I dont think that she will come bck to the Maxwell house. I think she will be to scared to come back. She will never see them agian.
My prediction is that Hope will be reunited with her birth mother by the end of the story, and will make it to the front page of the newspaper.
I think that she will come back and give them a Christmas jar to say sorry. They will expect her apology and welcome her back with open arms.
Hi i think this book is great. The little girl is a big time writer and if you think about it that might have something to do with her mother and it might give you an idea about her real mother. I think it is a little sad because her mother has cancer and that's not a good thing to have. It is a good thing that her real mother gave her to someone else so she will not get hurt by the one the mother is living with.
I think it was bad for her to lie to give a hit story to the paper. But the MAXWELLS must have something to do with the Christmas jars or that is what she thinks about the MAXWELLS and she wants to make a hit story for the paper.
I think that Hope should have told the truth from the start. Hope has to just come clean and tell them she is sorry and they might forgive her.

I think that it was a good book and I thought when Hope’s mother went over to the Maxwell’s and told the story of when she left Hope at the dinner . Then how Hope ended up at the Maxwell’s house.
I think is hope for Hope because she seems like a nice person to me. If she goes to talk to them they will probably not be as mad at her.
