Do You Believe in Christmas Jars? (D-3)

I can't believe that we have finished reading Christmas Jars! I don't know about you, but I didn't want the book to end. These last few chapters have certainly been emotional - well, at least for your teacher - I'll speak for myself! I've read the book four times now, and I still get goose bumps and all choked up and teary-eyed at the end. What a great story, but more than that, what a great concept - the Christmas Jar.
Please take a few minutes and let me know your final thoughts and reactions to the book. Share with me what you liked and enjoyed about it - or what you didn't, if that's the case.
One last thing...what I want more than anything, is for you to take this story and make it a part of you. I don't mean necessarily that you have to start a Christmas Jar and find someone to give it to. I want you to simply look for ways that you can make someone else's day a little brighter, or their life a little better. Please try to make it your priority each day to pass on a little kindness to someone else. Make your life about others, not centered solely around you, and you will be a much happier person. If you can do this, I will be a very happy teacher.
Love,
Mrs. H

I liked Christmas jars it was an exiting book. I knew at the end the mom would come back. Hannah always saves the day. It was sad that Adam had to die. But it was a good book.

I really liked Mr. wrights stories. I think he’s my favorite auther now. I really think that he should make another story but about new year. I wish I could meet him in real life. I liked the book and I really did want to cry but I couldn’t because people tease me. I am going to book stores and get all his books ( if they let me) BYE!

I really liked the book it was really good and awesome. What I really liked about it was that when everyone gave the Maxwells the Christmas Jars filled with money. And yes my mom has started a Christmas jar to give to my uncle who had surgery yeasterday and will be off for a 1 year.

My feelings on Christmas Jars are that the book opened my heart to a new world. The new world is the world of people that are less fortunate than me.

I loved the book it was the best. I might get a jar for next year. Put some change and bills every day.

I think Christmas Jars was great. I will recommend it to anyone and everyone. I did not expect that they would have helped Hope’s birth mother. I loved it.

The part that I didn’t like is when Adam died. That was the sad part in the story. But the part that I did like is when they saved up their money and gave it to the people who really needed it.

I absolutely loved this book especially when Mrs. Halterman and Miss Wilkins read it to us. My favorite part of the book is when Mary Ann came to the Maxwell’s home because that is where I think the story really begins because all of Hopes life she had never knew her mother was but if there was another book that Jason Wright wrote I would think that Lauren and Mary Ann go to the Chucks Chicken and biscuits and Hope and her mother are reunited but they have troubles and maybe Hope lives with the Maxwell’s I don’t know it’s not up to me it’s up to the master mind Jason Wright

The book was so cool. I love the ending and Hope found out who her real mom was and know im giving it to my grandma and I don’t know if I can keep it a secret and Im so glad that Hope has a mom. And Merry Christmas to you and Mrs.. Wright. The story that Marrianne told to the Maxwells was so cool and suprising.

In the book Chrismas Jar I really liked when she found her parents at the end. The sad part was when she got droped off on the road becuse her dad beated her mother.

The part I like is when the woman comes to Laurens house and tells the story about her husband beating her, then we found out that the woman was Hopes real mom except that she just dropped her off somewhere and then Louise found Hope and took her in. That is bad if you have to give up your baby just because you are afraid your husband will come and hurt you.

Christmas Jars was a great book in some parts of the book it was sad and then after that it was exciting. I have already started my own Christmas jar and I have about seven dollars in my jar will it’s a piggy bank. But anyway I liked the book and that is all that matters. I really liked the part when Hope finally met her mother(Lousie).

CHRISTMAS JARS WAS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS THAT HAS EVER BEEN READ TO ME!! IT DEFINITELY BROUGHT ME FEELINGS THAT USUALLY NEVER COME TO ME WHEN I READ BOOKS BUT THE FEELINGS WERE GOOD.
I WILL DEFINITELY START A CHRISTMAS JAR TO GIVE AWAY TO PEOPLE THAT NEED THEM AND HOPEFULLY THEY WILL APPRECIATE IT, AND START THEIR OWN SO THAT WILL GET A TRADITION STARTED AND NEXT CHRISTMAS THEY WILL GIVE THEIR CHRISTMAS JAR AWAY!!

I liked the book especially at last when there was a lot of people outside in the yard to give them a bunch of Christmas jars. Oh and also my little brother Jonathan and I started a Christmas jar at home, but I do think it does change peoples lives if you help them. If a lot of people came to my house I would be glad and also be think that there is a lot of people you can help or help you.

Yes my family will start a charismas jar. I can’t believe that hope fond her mother and that hope’s mom came back to her. I enjoyed the entire book. I hope that we will read another book like that.

I thought the book Christmas Jars was amazing. I thought I was going to cry at the end when Hope got to meet her mother. Yes, I’m planning a Christmas Jar myself and I’m giving it to the retirement home. Jason F. Wright’s book was heart warming and delightful. I would recommend that everyone read Christmas Jars. It’s a sad book and I can’t wait to give a Christmas Jar it’s going to be fun and I’ll have an amazing time.

In the book Christmas Jars the ending was shocking because i was not expecting that the money hannah gave would be hope’s mom. I thought that was so cool that hope got to meet and see her real mom after all thoes years.

I was VERY surprised that Louise was Hope’s real mom who had left Hope with a note pinned to her at Chuck’s Chicken and Biscuits. Also that Louise gave an Xmas Jar to the Maxwell’s family with a lot of other people giving Xmas Jars to the Maxwell’s which lead to her daughter and if that didn’t happen she wouldn’t get to see her daughter.

I like the book Christmas Jars because it was really cool but some parts I disliked. I’m not really into books. But this book was really good I like a book for once in my life but I still like football books more. I liked it when they hand out the Christmas Jars at the end.

I am SO proud of ALL of you for your comments here on the blog during the past few weeks. You are brighter and have better insights than most of my ADULT readers!

Maybe sometime I can visit your class and tell you a few real-life Christmas Jar stories in person.

Have a wonderful Christmas break and keep Mrs. Halterman out of trouble, will you? I hear she's in the principal's office all the time :-)

I think it was good but it would not be a book I would read. I like it when they come with all the cj. It was a good book really.
