Characters in Conflict #2

I know you have been very busy reading your independent books with the end of this grading period just two weeks away! Since you have been learning about the different types of conflict that can occur in a story (individual vs. individual, nature, society, technology, supernatural, and, of course, individual vs. self), I thought it would be fun for you to tell me about the type(s) of conflict in the book you're reading!
So, this week I want you to:
1) identify the title and author of your book
2) identify the type of conflict in the story and give me a little bit of background about what's going on
Since I haven't been there at school, I'll be anxious to see what you've been reading. If everything works out, I'll see you via Skype on Friday. Until then, be good!
Mrs. H.

Mrs.H.,
Carl Hansen wrote the book I’m reading right now. It is called Flush! This book is about a boy whose father who was recently put in jail. Why because he sunk Dusty Mulemans’ boat. Which means since this is dealing with the law it would have to be person vs. society!! How smart am I? Very smart I would say. The boy’s mother got very angry with his father so she doesn’t want to go to the jail to see him. But yet the boy’s father wont let her bail him out. The boy told his father to apologize for what he did and pay for what he owes. But he said he didn’t want to because he wasn’t sorry for what he did.
That’s my book called flush-get better and I’ll see you on Friday.
Love always,
Linda.

On my book Jasper Dash In The Great State Of Delaware by ,”Oh man I forgot the authors name!” There is a boy that lives in Delaware and he is his own person, because no one likes him and doesn’t care what he does what he does or if he gets hurt, they’le just fix him up and let him sit there and make him do everything by himself. So he left one day and said to everyone that they would be sorry for what they did to him. Then one day a war of gigantic bugs came and started eating everything and the Jasper came and killed all of the bugs and then everyone cheered and said,”THANK YOU!!!” Then he said,”Your welcome.”Then everyone finaly Him and he became famous and he lived in joy.
Zach. this story is person vs. society.

Dear Ms. Halterman,
One book I was reading was Holes. In that story the conflict is person VS person, person VS society, person VS himself, and person VS nature (I could have said all of them). Now I ‘m going to tell you why it is all of them and not just one or two. The reason for person VS himself is he could not decide if he wanted to go to jail or Camp Green Lake. Person VS society is the cops thought he stole some famous persons shows. Person VS person is he has trouble with some of the other campers. Person VS nature is he has to dig in the boiling sun from 5:00 in the morning to late at night. That is my story.

Dear Mrs. Halterman ,
Last night I went to the ER because I tore some ligaments in my right arm.
My book is person vs. person because Nancy is trying to find out about the Easter egg and Mrs. Anderson son and grandson. So Nancy is trying to find them and the problem is Nancy and her father were robbed. And Nancy thinks the thief is Mrs. Anderson’s grandson who has been missing and then the person who sole stole Nancy and her dad’s wallets also stole Mrs. Anderson’s wallet.
I hope you come back soon!!!!! I love you.

And some will make it and some will not. And when they are climbing it there is a lot of ice on it so that makes it a lot harder.
