It's been a while since we have been able to blog in the classroom, and it will be a little tricky now with all the mobile labs tied up for the next few weeks with testing, but we'll see what we can do with classroom computers!
Since we are 30-some chapters into Comfort, the sequel to Blue, I would like to hear your reactions to the story thus far. Tell me what you think about the story so far, and also what you think will happen in the last chapters. Be specific please!

i think that Junior's family will help Anne Fay's father. maybe they'll take him into therapy or something. I'm concerned about her mother because she's pregnant and all. my brother is reading blue and he likes it so far. who knows Anne Fay and Junior will be together.
Comfort is a good book. I thought it would be a lot different. I thought Ann Fay would stay in Warm Springs. I think her dad is going to hit Junior some day. I don’t think Junior and Ann Fay are going to marry. I think Gavin will write to her.
I thank it is better than Blue becuase her dad is having trouble so you never know what is going to happen with him and it makes you want to know what's going to happen next. Plus Jr. likes Ann Fay and it interesting because you just want to skip to the end and see what happens next. I think that Ann Fay will end up liking Jr. and her dad will get better.
I dont like the way the stoey is going.Because asout the father is acting.I think that JR. and ANN Fay are going to got married
I really like the sequel of Blue, but Ann Fay is a little mean to Junior and the dad does some stuff that Ann Fay thought he would never do. Otherwise, comfort is a lot better.
Wow! There has been a lot of weird stuff going on in Comfort but I like it. Ann Fay's mom is about to have a baby and her dad is mad all the time and both her parents don't want Jr in their business. In the next few chapters I think Ann Fay's mom is going to leave her dad and she will take the twins with her and leave Ann Fay with her dad.
I really like the book so far and I can’t wait to hear how the book is going to end. What I think is going to happen is that Ann Fay’s dad is going to change the way that he acts to his wife. I also think that Ann Fay’s teacher is going to help her family out a lot too. And school is going to be easy for Ann Fay and I think the baby is going to be a boy.
I like that Jr had asked Ann Fay to marry him. Ann Fay’s mother is going to have a baby. Ann Fay is hoping it’s a boy so it can replace Bobby. I like this story because Ann Fay is older and Jr is more mature. Ann Fay might marry Jr. The baby might be what she wants. I hope that her mother doesn’t leave her father.
WOW I can’t believe that we are that far into the book already. There have been a lot of strange things in the story Comfort. I was surprised that Ann Fay left Warm Springs, Georgia. She also had a boy that liked her that was in Warm Springs with her. I also think that Ann Fay was shocked when Jr. told her that her dad punched her mom. I think that her dad needs a lot of help so he doesn’t go exploding again and ending up hurting Ann Fay’s mom and the baby that Ann Fays mom is pregnant with.
I really like the book so far I think that the way Joyce Moyer Hostetter worded the book just fits in perfect and I really can’t wait to see what happens to Ann Fays dad with his war nightmares I hope that he will understand that he is at home and he is safe now so maybe he might stop having the nightmares. I think that Ann Fay and Jr. are going to start going out and maybe they will get married after all.
I think that Comfort is a really good book and a good sequel to Blue. I think that in the last chapters Ann Fay will go back to Warm Springs, see Gavin, learn to walk again, her dad will be back to normal, and the baby will be born safe and healthy.
I like the book so far. I think it is great that Ann Fay got to go to WarmSprings. I like that it is sad that Ann Fay found out by Jr that her dad hit her mom. It’s cool that Ann Fay’s mom is having a baby. I don’t think that having a baby though would be good because with her dad like that. In the last chaptersI think that Ann Fay’s dad will get better and that her and Jr will go out. I also think that Ann Fay’s mom will have a baby boy,
I liKe blue so fare it is a very good book my favorite part is when she comes home and everyone is asking her questions and my lest favorite part is when her daddy hert her mama by giving her a black eye and shoving his daughter agenst the wall.and i think h er daddy will come home and he will be good again just like he was before he got sent off to the war.
well it 's cool but like you said their is still a lot of info missing. I like that she met some friends and that wen she went back to her new school that dude didn 't pick on her.In the last chapters she might get married to jonner, her daddy will start to become his old self again, she will reseve a few messages for imagen ,her momma will have a baby boy , her daddy will start on the bathroom , she will be able to walk again , she will go back to the pollo place and kiss gaven.
i think that this story is better then blue because its just more active and exciting. i think that her dad will be like he was before the war and he will move back in with them. i also think that ann fay will be able to walk by the end of the book. also i think that she will sing. when the baby comes im guessing that it will be a boy. when her mom has the baby she will be fine and will make a full recovery. ann fay will get to see emma gene before the book is over.
Right now i think it's a good book. I think it's very sad how their dad is hitting their mom by giving them a black eye. It was also nice that Anne Fay came back from Warm Springs to help her mom around the house. And even though Jr. wasn't allowed to step foot on their yard but when Anne Fay. got dropped off there after school she asked him if he would work in the garden cause every time her dad went to start it it would scare him. And her dad hasn't been acting like himself cause of the war like, he will wake up during the middle of the night thinking he was still in the war.

I am very supprised that anne fays dad has changes so much, and he abused her mom.I like it so far but there are some open ends to it. i think Immogene will write back and they might get to see each other and anne fay will realize that she mite like junior!
I think it's fantastic so far! I think that Ann Fay's dad comes back and tries to work things out with Ann Fay's mom. Then when the baby comes Ann Fay and her sisters are going to help there mom take care of it.
I like Comfort I thank her dad is staying at Odes house. I thank mom and dad will
get back to gather and elley will be all right.

In the book Comfort it wasn't really a shocker that Jr liked her because it was easy to tell. It was easy to tell because he was doing every thing for her to help her. And I felt bad because she turned him down and that her dad is sick from the war... But in the last chapters of the book I think that she will marry Jr. And every thing will go back to normal and they will all look back at every thing one day and laugh about it.
I absolutely LOVE Comfort it is just amazing this book is way better than Blue I really enjoyed reading Blue but not as much as Comfort, there is something about this book that has got me attached, my favorite part in the book is where Junior came to Warm Springs and came and got her, and on the way home he told her how he felt that was just sweet how he said, “your family really needs a good man in your life right now” or something like that but I think deep down she likes him. Another part I was fascinated about was when Junior told Ann Fay that her Daddy hit her mom, and when Ida scared he dad and shoved her against the wall…I can understand what Ann Fay and her family are going through. Comfort is one of the amazing books that Mrs.Halterman is reading us this year!
I think the book is really good so far. I can't wait until the next chapter because its getting really good. I think Jr and Ann Fay are going to date in the last chapter. My reactions of the book so far is shocked because Jr likes Ann Fay but Ann Fay doesn't like Jr.
Well so far Comfort has been getting good.Well right now Ann Fay is at Warm Springs,Georgia learning to walk since polio made it to where she can’t half walk but she is doing a lot better than before .Ann Fay can walk a little bit but not that far she has to use a cane if she feels like she’s going to fall down. Now Jr.Bledsow has came to see Ann Fay for some odd reason and but it’s because of Ann Fays dad hitting her mother and putting a bruise on her eye and they did not go to church last Sunday and at the end of the chapter Ann Fays mom is pregnant and Ann Fay can’t believe it . I think Jr. and Ann Fays dad will apologize to each other for the way Ann Fays dad acted when she came home.
The book so far is going pretty well. The sad part in the book is that Anne
Fay’s mom has a black eye. The last few chapters are about when Anne Fay goes to Warm Springs that helps her with her walk better. Then one day Junior was at Warm Springs waiting for Ann Fay. He wanted to bring her home because her mom had, had a black eye. Ann Fay’s dad had been hitting her mom. Then when she got home she had figured out that her mom was having a baby. Still her dad was hitting her mom, while she was pregnant. Ever since their dad got home from the war he has changed he has been hitting her mom and everything.
I think that Anne Fay will marry junior at the end and plus her dad will quit hitting and abusing the animals. I think that the baby will turn out to be a girl in the last chapter.
I like this book better than blue. Because Ann Fay's father is home and she is seeing JR again. I also like it because Ann Fay went back to Warm Springs. The part I don't like is when JR comes to Warm springs and told Ann fay that her mother had a black eye Ann Fay asked how he said that he thinks her father hit her. Ann fay came home and a police officer came he had heard that Ann Fay had ran away from Warm Springs and wonted to know if she was ok. There is so more exsiting news Ann Fays mother is having a baby. Ann fay wanted in to be a boy to take the place of Bobby and didn't want a baby to be born in a nasty world. JR wanted to go to the preacher and get married. Ann fay didn't like the idea and they didn't get married.Ann Fay had a roomate in Warm Springs. Ann Fay had asked a woman if her farther had a disease that made her dad to thank their was a war going on and go crazy. I think that her dog will go and run away from home because that her dad is mean to him.
What i think will happen in the last chapters is that Anne Fay will get married with Junior and I think the baby Anne Fay's mom is having is going to have is a boy and they will call it Bobby!!! My aunt said that blue is the best book she has read this year and i also told her to read Comfort and she said she will enjoy it too!!! I also think that Anne Fay's dad is going to get help or is either going to leave the house for a while and than come back when the baby is about to be born....My feeling is that Anne Fay will forgive Junior and they will be friends for a while than go out and will get married! I don't think Anne Fay is going to go back to Warm Springs. I only think she will go visit her friends at Warm springs or just write to them! I guess that kid robin will forgive Anne fay for saying mean things to her and will be friends again.
I’m starting to get into the book just like I did in the book Blue. But this one is a little bit more interesting because it has more action and romance. I think that Junior Bledsoe is getting a little jealous over Gavin at Warm Springs GA.

Well I loved the story it was better than BLUE. I hope she has many more in the serice. I love how Jr. fell of Ann-Fay.
Comfort was a book. Well in the book comfort i would think that Ann Fay would stay in warm springs. and i think its kinda cool that Ann Fay mother is pregnant with a anther baby. And i also think that maybe her father will come back and stay with the kids. And i also think that Junior and Ann Fay will maybe get together and maybe even get marred. Well but since i was only here for some of the book i think it was pretty good.
I love the book Comfort it is awesome I love this book because it is about Historical Fiction and I love history. I gave my sister blue to read and she let her teacher to read it to the whole class and they loved it. What I think will happen in Comfort is that Junior and Anne Fay will get together. I also think that mother is very stress, because the father thinks he is at war and it is hard for everybody. Well this is all I am going to tell you about what I think is going to happen.

I think they will fix their issues up before the end of the story and they will have a good time too. This is a great book i've enjoyed listening to it in class i hope their will be a 3rd book that will come out

The way I feel about reading is I don’t like it. I don’t like because it’s boring to me. I had to read when I didn’t like to back then and I don’t like it now. It’s ok now because I’m starting to find books that I like.
What made me feel this way about reading is that now I’m starting to find books that I like. My book that I was reading Rescue: A Police Story is about two men that rob a bank then the police catch the suspects. Then the suspects go to jail.
