Hello guys, and welcome to our classroom reading blog! This is where we will be sharing responses to all sorts of reading related things this year. I can't believe that we have already finished two weeks of school, the Labor Day weekend is over, and here we are back again! I don't know about you, but it feels like we have been in school longer than just two weeks! I feel very comfortable with all my students and classes and am looking forward to a great year! Hopefully everyone enjoyed their long weekend, and now we can get down to some serious blogging!
Okay...we spent last week establishing that reading should be important to you, and maybe it is. However, there is always the chance that it isn't - and that's okay too. This what I want to center the discussion around this week - the importance of reading to you. I want you to:
1. Share your honest feelings about reading. (Please use complete sentences - no one or two word responses!) Tell me honestly how you feel about reading.
2. Now discuss why you feel the way you do. What happened along the way to make you feel like you do about reading?

I love reading. I’ve known how to read sense I was in pre-k and ever sense then I loved it I read every night and the book I’m reading is really interesting. I even read over the weekends. That’s how much I love reading.
What made me love reading so much is I always find a good book and when I get a good book and start it I don’t want to put it down. I love to read my book I have its very exciting and such a good book I love it.
My honest opinion about reading is I like reading it’s not the best at times but I like it. A lot of people don’t like reading but I do. I can only concentrates on books I like for example my favorite books to read are humor. In sixth grade I didn’t like reading but I loved the books we read. I loved the book “out of the dust”! We should read that book this year you’d love it too.
The reason why I feel that way about reading is because I haven’t enjoyed reading that much lately but I read a lot over the summer it was great. I read the whole series of “the babysitters club”. I also read the series of unfortunate events, and the entire twilight series. In sixth grade I felt like reading wasn’t important but this year something changed. I feel like if I don’t read the world will come to an end! I don’t know why though it’s very odd . I just have weird feelings about reading in many different ways!
I don’t like reading much, I never have. I don’t know why! I guess because I haven’t really found a book that interest me. But this year I read one book that was really good so maybe I will start liking reading!! Maybe have a better year. Will at least I hope so!!
I enjoy reading when I'm honestly in the mood to pull out a book. It has never been my down pat thing to do, but this year I think it got a hold of me. I lose interest in a lot of books. But the one I got now, I can read it 100 times!
I do not like reading. Because it is boring to me. The reason I do not like reading is because once I read something I just forget what I read. Also because I do not like sitting down and reading when it is very quiet.
I don’t really like to read. I think the reason why is because I don’t really get into the story like some people do. I don’t really like to read out loud either.
My opinion about reading is that reading is ok. I didn’t really learn how to read good until 1st grade. The real reason I think reading is ok is because I can hardly ever find a good book.
What made me think reading is ok is that I don’t read a lot and I cant really find a good book. I don’t like a lot of stuff so its hard to find a book if you don’t like a lot of stuff.

texting is truely reading because;You have to
read what people send toyou! But besides that
i would actually like to sit down and find a book that
intrests me.So that i can get into reading because its
important to read!! : )
I do like reading very much but sometimes I don't get it. The only book I like is action books. Once in a blue moon I'll read a mystery book. If I don’t understand the book then I get another book and read it. The reason I feel this way about reading is because I am not good at it but I do try to understand it.
I really like reading i think it is fun.
I really like reading because it is somthing to do instead of tv and games and other stuff. If you read you learn to read better and you can learn about anything you what to learn about . It’s cool that you can learn all that stuff I think.I read all the time at home, at school, and on the bus when I go on trips I always have a book with me.
I like reading every now and then. I like reading whenever it’s a really good
book. If it’s not that good of a book than I really don’t pay any mind to it. But
I have found a book that I like so far and maybe it’ll all go good. Well at least I hope so!
My honest feeling about reading is it takes my mind off everything I have done or what has happened to me. But last year I would barely get a book out and read it. But this year I want to change with my attitude. I want to read and get better grades in reading and all my other classes. But the reason I feel that way about reading is cause I really do want to get better grades in reading. And I want to get a book out and read every night.
I like to read and the reason is there so many good books.
The thing that happened along that made me like reading so much is
I started to buy more books and I started cheking more out and I would read more during school that is when I starting liking reading.
Yes I do like reading . when I was in 5 grade I was realy bad at reading I think it might of been because I just came from home school. When I did read I was in this class with other kids. The teachers said I dident stop at each sentens. I have progressed in reading I like it a lot now.
Like I said I struggled in reading in 5 grade. I read a lot now mostly at home I like it because it reminds me of a movie. I think a book is better then its movie for one tv kills your bran sells and it has more detales.Thats why I like reading .
Honestly I really dont like reading, because I can never find a book that interrestis me.. But last year I found a book that I enjoyed and it was called out of the dust..I could read that book over and over again. But I like to read if I can find a book that I enjoy. hopefully soon I will continue to like reading.
Reading is ok for me but it’s not my favorite. Sometimes when I read to much my head starts to hurt.But I can read pretty good but my spelling ain't so good. I like fiction books becuse it give more more ideas to the story.
The way I feel about reading is that it makes happy and it helps me understand things.
I also don’t have to ask questions about some things like nouns,verbs and things like that.
There is nothing better to do on a rainy day then to read. It also helps me get good grades. Thats how I feel about READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The way I feel about reading is not the greatest feeling in the world. I don’t realy like to read a whole lot. Sometimes I will read if I feel like reading, but I don’t like to read when people make me read. So really, I like to read if I’m reading because I want to not because I have to.
I don’t like reading that much because I’ve never liked
reading. I never read when I was little and I never liked reading before any way. Also I partly can’t find a good book. I can’t sit still for very long.
I Love reading. I’ve known reading since 1st grade. I read over the weekends and whenever I feel like it. Reading is awesome !!!!!! My favorite book is Nancy Drew. I can read one book in one day because I love reading so much. I read when I’m alone and when I feel like it . My favorite thing about reading is that is when it relaxes me , it gives ideas and it gives me a life of fun. And that's why i like to read. I LOVE to READ!!!!!!!
The way I feel about reading is that reading is not my favorite subject in the world, but I think reading is pretty cool.
It makes me feel like this because last year I did not do so well. The 6th grade came to visit the 7th grade teachers and my class went to Mrs.Halterman’s class. This year I’m in her class now and her class is way better than last year. I also think I am going to pass my sol test this year.
I don’t like to read because I think it is a waste of time. I’m very active like with sports. You have nothing to do when you’re reading all you do is sit down open a book and go down the page going left to right looking at words. I don’t like it at all.
The reason why i read is to get done with it. Sometimes i start to read a book and i'll get trapet inside it.whem i get trapet in a book it's about sports.
I like reading because it help you get though life. You can’t get a job without. I didn’t like reading until this year!
