About Me
- Mrs. Halterman
- Hi, I'm Mrs.Halterman and here's a little something about myself. I love teaching and have been a seventh grade reading and English teacher at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School for 20 years. I am married and have three children, five very precious grandchildren, and an extremely spoiled kitty named Boo. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing the piano, walking outdoors, and spending time with my family. My newest hobby is Zumba! By the way, growing up I always wanted to be a detective and Nancy Drew was my idol, so now I host the Private Eyes club here at school during Hawks Hangout!

Mattie and Eliza are doing very good with the coffeehouse so as far as I have read, and mother will return because they say that the fever is gone and since gossip goes around fast then mother will return because they say mother is a very hard worker and she just wouldn't forget about the coffeehouse.
She will start running the coffeehouse with eliza and become very successful. Yes because they have a cook and they also have a manager so they are going to do great! Yes mattie’s mother will return because when george Washington comes into town so does mother and she tells her the whole story.
I thank that Mattie & Eliza will run the coffeehouse just like it was. I also thank that mattie's mom will return.
Yes because they can get through yellow fever they can get thought running a coffeehouse. Yes because mother is strong.
I think that her mom will come back and she will keep running the coffeehouse. I also think that Mattie will marry Nathaniel.
I think that mother will return to home and I don’t think that she died either. Yes I also think that Matilda and Eliza can run the coffeehouse and make money then if the mom returns they can still have the business they had before they had the fever.
I think that Eliza and Mattie will be able to run the coffeehouse and now that the frost has killed the yellow fever they will get lots of customers, more than they did before. And they will get a surprise visit from her mom that has come back from Bush Hill to see what has happened to the coffeehouse, and Mattie would tell here what happened and her mom will tell her that the people at Bush Hill came and got everybody that had yellow fever and took them.
I think they will make it because they have made it before lots of times. It will not be hard for them this time. Mattie can help with washing the dishes. She can get help from Nathaniel and Joseph.
Mattie will go to the coffee shop. I think Mattie’s mom will come back so she will help Mattie with the shop. I think Mattie and Eliza can handle it until she gets there.
She will be sad that she doesn’t have her mom around. She will run the coffeehouse with Eliza. I think they will run it by themselves and that one-day they are working and Mattie’s mom will walk into the coffeehouse.
I think that the coffee house will be successful with Mattie and Eliza’s buisness and Mattie's mother Lucille will end up coming home and until then Mattie will probably be able to take care of herself and they will live happily ever after!!!
I think that Maddie will go to the ludingtons to see if her mom is still there. Maddies mom will not be at the ludingtons .I don’t think Eliza can run the coffeehouse by herself. Maddie will keep Nell and they will live at the coffee house.
I think that they will do good running the coffeehouse because Eliza knows how to cook and Mattie can be the manager. And I also think that Mattie’s mother is going to return to the coffeehouse. I think that Mattie is going to be better if they feed her more food until her mother comes back and they will take her to go buy medicine so she won’t be to skinny and palel.
Mattie and Eliza will do a great job reopening and I think that they will have a lot of people coming in and out. I think that Mattie’s mother will come back before she knows it. I think that Eliza will come and stay with Mattie until she gets older. And then she might marry Nathenial.
I think thay will have hope beacuace people are comeing back and the fever is gone.
I think fever is good so far. Yes, it was boring at the beginning now it’s a lot better. That everyone is trying to help get the fever away from the natshion. I don’t like the fact that one guy wants her to go to the orphan place.
I used to hate the book but I love it now. Because the book is interesting. Now that it’s over I just want to reread the book now.

I don’t think they can because that means they got to save money to buy food to keep the coffeehouse running so I think they should go someplace other than the coffeehouse that has food and water.
