- Hi, I'm Mrs.Halterman and here's a little something about myself. I love teaching and have been a seventh grade reading and English teacher at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School for 20 years. I am married and have three children, five very precious grandchildren, and an extremely spoiled kitty named Boo. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing the piano, walking outdoors, and spending time with my family. My newest hobby is Zumba! By the way, growing up I always wanted to be a detective and Nancy Drew was my idol, so now I host the Private Eyes club here at school during Hawks Hangout!

What I did this winter was sled down my hill with my sister Chara but we stopped when I hit her and she fell that was bad because she has a baby but the good thing was she didn’t break nothing but that is pretty much what I did. But I mostly played video games and read.
Over the break was really funn!!I got to hang out with my friends and I also got to spend time with my family. But i also did miss school because it got old,boring,and i also missed my friends. But it was kinda nice to get to sleep in.

What I did over the break was nothing but work. One day I would scoop snow and then another day I would I would have to help with the dogs. But at the end of the day well I would have a good time with everyone.
Oh yeah my sister just got her neck brace off last Saturday.
Over our “second” break I played in the snow. The first day we got it I thought, “oh no; this is a lot.” So I decided I would go out and see if it was taller than me. It wasn’t. Then my sister, her friend Bliss Grimes, and I took a walk, we went to Mr.Rulliffson’s house, wow that was a lot of fun, except he made me shovel his driveway. But, for extra credit. On Valentine’s Day I went to my grandmother’s house while my dad took my mom out to dinner, though I could have stayed home, but her house sounded more fun. I read a lot over the break out of my book called “Among The Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix” I LOVE this book, only because it is very interesting. It’s about this boy named Luke. He is the third child so because of the population police he can’t be seen all because the parents are only aloud two children. Interesting? Yes, it is.
What I did over the week we were out of school was just hung out I slept in witch rocked!!!!
The main thing I did was think about my boyfriend the whole time! I went out and bought him a Valentines gift and lets just say he got A LOT of candy! Then on Friday my big sister came over and spent the night! The next day her boyfriend came over and they gave each other their gifts. Then on Sunday we all went to my favorite restraunt Wood Grill Buffet to spend Valentines day as a family then we went too the movies and watched a scary movie called The Wolf Man! It was scary! All I know is I screamed a lot!!!
All i did over the break was sleep and listen to people yell at me for no reason.I only wanted to go back to school for two reasons i wanted to see this girl i like a lot and i was bored at home.

Over the break I went to my friends house. I had a good time. We watched a really
Good movie it is called the stepfather. It is sad thought. when you get a chance watch
it. We also watched the uninvited. It is scary. I almost started to cry. I finished my book at school and took a test. I read the newspaper over break because I didn’t have a book.
That is what I did over the break.
On my days of when we were out for two weeks I played in the snow a little. When we were out for the two weeks I ready to come back to school I was getting bored, even though that sounds strange for some kids but now I’m ready to leave again. I read a little but not too much. My dad and uncle and me we had to go saw wood so we wouldn’t get cold and the ferns wouldn’t run. So that was my two weeks off and that’s what I did.

What I did over the break was that I spent at least seven nights with my friend Dustin Mitchell. He has an awesome mom and his dad is about to die from brain cancer and he is really upset about it. His dad only has about two or three months to live. His dads name is Bruce Mitchell. I went sledding with Dustin, my brother Timmy, me, two of my other friends named Logan and Austin and another one of my friends named Robert. I also helped Dustin’s mom take real good care of Bruce. So did Timmy. Because I wanted to me Timmy and Dustin helped this old man shovel his driveway. I got three dollars. Timmy got five dollars. Dustin got nothing because he didn’t do that much.
HI Mrs. H what I did over the break was I went to pa for the big game show. There were a lot of people. I went with my brother and my best friend and his baby and girlfriend. We got a hotel called the super 8. Then the next morning we got up and went to MacDonald’s and had breakfast. Then we had two hours to spend so we went right up the road to bass pro shop. Were my friend and I spent an hour and haft playing hunting games .then we went to the game show and I got some beef jerky and about 70$on goose and duck calls . Then we went home and stop at gander mtn. I got 2 more duck calls and some fiys for my fly fishing pole. Then we went home .That was the funist thing I did on the break. ANTHONY
I did over the break was……. Go to TN with my couent because she had to go to a hospital. We had fun but crystal had to have treaament because she has cancer. I had to watch the kids.
I had a great snow brake. My dad had to clear the driveway the hold time but the time he was not working he was working? ! ? He went up to his friend Jims work shop. Yes I read, my mom mad me read. My sister Jesse left on Friday morning when the big snow. Kaylie didn’t leave so she was at home Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. she was not happy. My mom went to the beach with her sisters, so it was Kaylie, my dad and me it was fun to hang out with my sisiter that is never home, so I had fun☺!!!!

Over winter break was remarkable, I got to sleep In spend a few days with my friends and just completely refresh myself. It was a dread to come back because I didn’t want to get up early after spending two weeks sleeping in. I got to make a snowman and which I have been literally dying to do. I loved it, I had a great two weeks with my friends and family, I hope the snow comes back soon!!
What I did over the break. I didn’t do a lot but shovel snow and play video games with some of my friends and we went to a hunting show last Friday. But over all it was a good break for me cause I got to spend a lot of time with my family.
My sisters and I played in the snow but one day my sister found a piece vinyl and when the others were playing with the other sleds I used the vinyl piece well I head up the hill. I started going down when I noticed that the sled was not below of me so I sled to the bottom of the hill without a sled that what I did and played games and watched movies
I am glad that school was closed for two weeks because I had a lot of time to do homework.
The two weeks I was off was Amazing..I spent time with my brothers Justin and Tyler it was great because my brother Justin had taking his girlfriend Kelly to work an he was suppose to pick her up after she got done with work ,but knowing Justin he would forget about her and wouldn’t pick her up till 4 hours later..Talking about getting yelled at ,but she is a blonde so she sat there the whole time!!!Then my Best friend come over we went to the mall an we had to bring Tyler cause he kept saying ‘I wanna go I wanna go’ he is 13 and acts like he is 4..I read some of my book twilight which was very amazing..Edward is starting to talk to Bella....Then me tyler and glorey went outside an threw snowballs,but I don’t want a $1,000 fine.We went inside an drunk hot coco!Most the time I was talking to Lyndsey on the phone and computer!!!Most alsome two weeks this year!!
Hello Mrs.Halterman I am really happy about the two weeks of no school how about you. Well let me tell you what I did the whole time me and my sisters were waiting for my dad for a whole week. Because he works out of the state. We played outside for the whole two weeks both of my sisters got sick. Well when it was the weekend my dad got home he took us out for dinner on saturday. Then the next day we stayed home and took some snow off the front port. So we did the same thing the next week my dad went out of the state again. And when he told us he said we are going to vacation on summer. So we decided where we were going all weekend long and made our choice we are going to Kings Dominion.
Over the snow brake with all the 2 weeks off all I did was take pictures the snow and plowed the driveway fun fun. It was also tried to play with my dog in the snow but the snow was to tall for him to get around the house so my dad and I made a little path for him to at least go outside for a little bit. Then my sister came home with me dad and it was around ten o’clock when they got home. When she got there she put her stuff down and sat down with me. Then she asked me if she could get on the computer and I said yea then I went to bed and the next day me and her went outside with a bowl and got some snow and my mom and I made ice cream snow
Over the break I did go out in the snow for maybe a day and then the rest of the time I just stayed inside and watch TV and play video games. Then for valentines day we went out to the Texas steak house but once we got there once we ordered we hade to wait for about an hour for it to be ready but after I ate I said it was worth the wait . After that we went shopping my little sister got this be heart shaped pillow at target for $24 dollars and I got a xbox360 game so me and my little sister were happy that we got a good valentines day gift from our parents once we got that we said thank you for the things we got and rang the stuff up and went home.a
Over the 2 week break we had because of the snow. I got a little extra sleep and pretty much stayed up all night. The day after it quit snowing me and my granddad had to shovel some paths but luckily we had a snow blower. One night I stayed up until 4:30am and had to get up at 8:00am. I went with my granddad to get the 4 wheel drive fixed in his blazer the funny thing was is that it was only two little hoses and we could have fixed it our selves then we went to our cousins. When we got home we feed the animals and cut wood . One other day I went to my moms and played basketball then I had to help clean out our garage. When I got done I was covered in snow. That’s some of the things that I did during the break.
I did a lot of stuff. played aau mostly. I also played out side. i took my cat out side but he did not like to much. I had snow fights. I got kinda bored some times. That's is about it.
Over the break was sordof fun i got to sleep in a little. I missed some of my friends I kinda wanted to go to school kinda the only part I missed was goofing around with my friends. One of my cows had a calf over the break and that was sordof exciting didnt really play out in the snow much I helped my dad with his bobcat push snow paths so the cows could get to there water and thats about it.
The break was pretty fun it was nice to sleep in and not have to get up early.I stated in side for most of the time I only went out in the snow one time.I just watched TV and texted and after a while I got a little bore But it was fun.
I liked having off school so i could sleep in. I also got to play playstatoin with my brother and are friends i hang out with his fiends and he hangs out with me and my friends to. we really didn't play outside in the snow becuase we don't like the snow so all of my and my brothers friends stayed at my house for to weeks alone becuase our parents stayed in a hotal and our sisster's stayed at there friends house there younger then us so we dont really hang out so that what i did these snow days off

What I did in the snow was just played in it only for a little bit. For me it was to cold out side. So what i did was played my wii i got for christmas and my playstashon. For the first time I got bord of staing home and wanted to come back to school. And that's what I did over my break.

Over the snow break I just helped my mom around the house witch I don’t mind but it can get boring!! The only thing I didn’t miss was not doing homework. But I did miss spending time with Whitney at lunchtime. I had a terrific time over the brake those because I did text a lot…Go figure! I actually missed school though because you get so use to getting up at six or seven in the morning but then when you get brake you can sleep in until ten o’clock the next morning. I do hope for more snow though but not that much because two weeks out school really stinks!!! I never did play in the snow because my opinion that is very boring and plus it was cold outside so I only went outside to take my dog out there that was very fun though because I threw her in the snow quite a few times. But my dog is a miniature chiwawa so it covered her completely. But I had a good valentines day because I got like a million text messages saying “HAPPY VALENTINES” oh and then I got a necklace from somebody it says love all over it. So I really had a great break.

Okay? The two weeks we had off was AMAZING !! , There are a few reasons why I say this and it is because , hmmm ? Lets see …. Well ; One was because I got to sleep in of course Second reason was because we didn’t have school duh Third reason was because I got to spend more time with my family(: !! &also there was only ONE reasonn why I missed being here at school and that was because … I missed my friends and the guy I likeeee . but, that was basically my brake .
What I did this winter is go sledding down my hill. The only thing I hate is that I hit a bank that had a pile of snow at the bottom of it so I hit the side of the pile and I slid on my side on the way down. when I was close to the bottom the sled tipped the rest of the way and I sled on my stomach. After I got up I was cold and I wanted to do it again so bad. So I got back up and did it again. Well this time when I came down there was a hill and when I hit it I didn’t know and I fell off of it but, I was ok after a long time of pain. I’ll tell you one thing it wasn’t as soft where I landed and I thought it was because snow is supposed to be soft at least that’s what I thought. From now on I’ll be more careful……………NOT!
Well what I did over the snow break. Well I made an igloo with my family it took about hours and after we build that we went in side and drunken hot chocolate. Then the next day we went and made snowmen and dug tunnels under the snow. Then on Valentines Day I took my girl friend out to eat and we ate at Texas Stake House after we got done eating we went to the movies I fore get what we seen but it was good and after that we went cosmic bowling and we didn’t get home in till like 2:00 but my mom was with us so yea I had fun over the snow break.
what i did this winter was a lot of things i went to austens and rode on his sleds and i. Had fun because we went inside and we had hot chocle and then we went back out side and played. Then we went to my house and we played games and we ate a lot of food and then we were geting ready to go to bed when we deside to go back out side and finsh playing before we went to bed.
