Happy New Year - or Happy New Day! (#4)

Welcome back to school and to a new year!  I've missed you!  I hope you had a wonderful break and have come back ready to read and work!  :>)

A new year always signals all kinds of new beginnings, new resolutions and goals, and fresh starts.  There's just something about having a clean slate and being able to start over.  You know, most of us get a fresh start - a chance for a new beginning - each and every day that we wake up on this earth.  Why wait for a new year?  Start today - a new day - to work on a new goal or resolution.  Every day should be a Happy New Day!

Now - down to business!  For today's blog I would like to hear your predictions for the book we've just started reading, Blue,  by Joyce Moyer Hostetter.  Where do you think the story is going from here?  What do you think is in store for Ann Fay Honeycutt and her family?

I already read the book and I thought it was a good book. But if she made another book I would predict that she will still help be the man of the house.

I think that that Ann Fay will get sick or maybe one of her brothers or sisters. I also think that Dad will come back not smoking and they will all be happy.

I think that they will keep sending letters to each other
and then one day she will recieve a letter from somebody
thats not her dad and it will say that he is dead. And that is
why its called ‘’BLUE’’.

I think that one of the kids might get polio and have to go to the hospital so they can get a lot better so they can come home and spend a lifetime with the family. Also I think their dad comes home from the war so he can see all the kids he loves and his wife he really loves to. And maybe Ann Fay has Bobby be the man of the house.

I think the story will be really good because I remember last year learning about world war 2 and I thought it was real interesting.

I predict that in the book Blue Ann Fay Honeycutt and her family will get their stuff done. Also Ann Fay Honeycutt will be united with her father, and live happily ever after.

The dad will come back hurt and the family will haft to help him.
Someone in Ann Fay family will get crippled.

Well im reading it right now before my class so i cant give away too much, but i think it's not going to end up like you thought it would. What ive read so far is really good, but i dont think her dad is going to come home completely healthy, and with being "the man of the house" it's going to be really hard on her.

I think that her father will be very ill and have to come home but recover and go back to fight Hitler and she’ll have to be the man of the house again. I think that the man that gave them the nickel well I think his daughter will die and he’ll have to help with Ann Fay's family. Jason wright is one of my favorite authors but Cynthia voigt is my favorite. I’ve read like about 3 to 4 books of her.

THERE ARE SOME PARTS THAT I DON’T LIKE AND SOME PARTS THAT I DO LIKE . THE PART THAT I DO LIKE IS WHEN THEIR FATHER HAS TO LEAVE TO GO TO THE WAR AND FIGHT. THE PART THAT I KIND OF LIKE IS WHEN... WELL THERE ARE NO PARTS THAT I LIKE.

I think it's pretty good, but I think it's going to end sad and I don't really like books that end sad.

I think that her daddy will come home with a very bad wound. They will have to live through friends dying. She will have to work very hard.

I think that they will hear bad news about something. And think that thier dad might get polio or someone in her family.

Well I really get the name or at least what I think it is. Also it’s good so far but there are sad parts and it will get better because we have questions like will her dad come home safe and alive and is that family with the girl ok and more.

I think that Ann Fay Honeycutt is going to do good being the man of the house. She is already starting to be like her dad. I think that she is going to get over the fact that her dad is gone to war and have hope that her dad will come back.

Well I think from what I’ve hared in the second chapter that the story is going to be real good and she his going to do great in the garden but then something happens that’s real bad and she doesn’t know what to do about it. Now for the families I don’t know because I wasn’t here for the first chapter.

I think the mom will get polio the kids will call dad and he will come back and stay with the kids.

I think that Ann Fay will get sick and maybe her sister or brother
I also think that her father will come home safe and sound.

I really like the book I think it is going to be sad maybe their father dies or maybe someone else that they care for dies but I hope it ends very well cause the book seems really interesting.

The book BLUE is a good book... My prediction about the next chapter is that Ann might get mad at her brother and her sisters. Because all they what to do is play and they don't help out around the house a lot. And she might take it out on her friend and she loses her friend. And the only person she can talk to about it is her mom.

I think that Ann Fay's dad will come back from the war and that Ann Fay will want to spend more time with her family.

I think that Bobby will get polio and that Ann Fay will have to take over. And she will have to deal with the responsibilities that her father did. Also her father will die over in the war and the family will have to live without their father.

The book we are reading is a good book. I feel bad for the family they have to live with out their dad. I think they will make it until the dad gets back from the war. I think he will get back with no problem.

I really like I mean I love it really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also love it because it has “BLUE” in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that Anne Faye Honeycut will get the “BLUES”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Ann is going to do good for a man’s job. I think she and her family will be fine and they will miss their dad so much. I think when he gets back they will have a good life.

I think that Ann’s father will come back from the war. Plus it is starting out great. Her friend Peggy said that her father will. Annie said that when Peggy promises things, some of them don’t turn out right. Everybody’s promises don’t come true.

I think that it is going to be one of those books where they surprise you at the end and something good happens. I think that she is going to have to live with some strange people that she does not even know. And she going to have to do lots of work for them and her helping while her dad went to fight Hitler will come in handy.

I think Ann Fay’s dad is going to die in the war. Nothing will be the same for Ann Fay because she’s used to being around her father all the time because she’s a daddy’s girl. It’s going to hurt her to hear that her dad is dead and she will probably run away from home because of what that person has told her about her father.

I think they will keep on mailing their dad and one day their dad dies in the war. i also think that they will start wondering why he isn't mailing back and one day they get a letter in the mail and it says I'm so sorry that your Husband and your kids’ dad died in war. So then the oldest child becomes the dad for good.

I think Ann will receive a letter from her dad. I think the letter will say Dear Ann i got the flower and it still smelled great it reminds me of the mansion that we built. i miss you so much i will be home soon love dad.

I thing that Ann is going to see her father. Ann might not get the rain that she was hoping for the plants. Ann will always help her father.

THE STORY FROM HERE I THINK IS GOING TO GO PRETTY GOOD. I THINK THAT ANN FAY HONEYCUTT’S DAD IS GOING TO COME HOME, AND HE WILL STAY HOME FOR GOOD, AND THE FAMILY WILL BE HAPPY WITH THAT.

I THINK THAT ANN FAY AND HER FAMILY ARE GOING TO GO THROUGH SOME ROUGH TIMES BUT IN THE END HOPEFULLY IT WILL ALL GO GOOD, AND HER FATHER WILL COME HOME!!

I think that Ann Fay’s dad will get sick in war. But I think that her dad will get well and send him back and the guy that helped Ann Fay’s family will be helped by her family, to help his daughter.

I think that Ann Fay is going to be really happy then her mom is going to tell her that her father has died in the war. Then the family will be sad and that she will be working to be the man of the house just like her father said.

I think the book Blue is very good so far. I hope it stays this cool to the end of the book. I think Ann Fay father is going to send some thing from the war and write her a note that is really nice and say he will be back as soon as he can.
